My favorite card to make is a Thank You one. I have shared on more than one occasion how important I think saying thank you is and having a handmade card to do that is even better!
Today I have paired up the pretty Butterfly Gala Stamp Set with Mango Melody, a very bright and happy color and kept it very simple with a couple of punched butterflies and Gold Metallic Pearls
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Mango Melody Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Mango Melody Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card
Scraps of Mango Melody Card
Ink Color: Mango Melody
I first stamped the greeting onto the Whisper White layer then stamped the butterflies to fill the remaining space. These stamps come in pairs of two, one large and one small which fit perfectly into the Butterfly Duet Punch. I guess I could separate them by cutting the stamp apart – but I really quite like the spacing the double stamp gives.
Layers 1 and 2 are attached together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive then attached to the base card with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals.
The little extra butterflies are stamped ‘tone-on-tone’ on a scrap of Mango Melody card then carefully punched out before being attached with a Mini Glue Dot each.
