Today is my dear husband’s birthday, he is so very supportive of me and all I want to do and puts up with a lot missed meals, extra dog walking duties and a houseful of happy stampers when he gets home from a long day. His main hobby is wildlife photography and so I chose to use the Wetlands Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! for his birthday card, this is a great set and perfect for the guys in our lives. I needed cards for three different occasions, “Happy Birthday’, ‘Happy Anniversary’ and ‘Congratulations’ for a new grandchild. I decided the same design would work but using different colors and to change the layout of the ‘card candy’ (a new term I just learned, meaning embellishment!) The stamp set was Stampin Up’s Creative Elements ( and we just heard today this set is being retired and is now only available while stocks last!) see the bottom of this post for a great ‘free shipping’ offer 🙂
I have been using one of the exclusive ‘Sale-a-bration’ stamp sets, that is free with a $50 purchase of products until March 31st.
Here are two cards made using theSale-a-bration exclusive products, Petal Parade Stamp set and the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, as well as some of the other products available in the ‘Celebrate the Everyday’ mini catalog. Continue reading
A dear friend is celebrating a milestone birthday later this month, but she doesn’t want any fuss, no buying of presents, parties or cake etc. Well I certainly cannot let such an occasion pass me completely by, so ……………
I love to make cards and 3D items, so the project I chose as my gift to her brings both of these aspects of paper crafting together! She is an avid letter writer so I decided to make her a set of 10 cards in a neat little folder. I have met her restriction of not ‘buying’ anything – ‘cos I made it all of materials I had in my ‘stash’.
My three main colors are Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Soft Suede. All the sentiments were stamped in Island Indigo with some sponging in Soft Suede. These are the colors in the Venetion Romance DSP I chose to use.
The sentiments were from ‘Petite Pairs’ stamp set and the Artisan Label Punch used to layer them.
Each card was stamped with the ‘swirly’ image from the ‘Best of Shelli’ 25th anniversary set.
The front cover of the folder used ‘Chalk Talk’ stamp and matching framelits.
If you ‘follow’ ~ ‘like’ and ‘comment’ on this post I will happily send you the recipe for this set of cards with the matching holder. Not a bad deal…….. !!!!

This Baby shower card was made using the Apothecary Accents Framlits dies along with the Magnetic Platform, allowing an accurately centered cut in the Pistachio Pudding card frame. Makes fantastic embellishments for scrapbooking and 3D home decor projects.
