Wetlands Birthday Card

Today is my dear husband’s birthday, he is so very supportive of me and all I want to do and puts up with a lot missed meals, extra dog walking duties and a houseful of happy stampers when he gets home from a long day.  His main hobby is wildlife photography and so I chose to use the Wetlands Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! for his birthday card, this is  a great set and perfect for the guys in our lives.

Brians birthday card

The base card is 8 1/2 x 11 Whisper White, scored and folded at 5 1/2.  I used Sahara Sand in for the ‘skid mark’ stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and the birds, then Garden Green for the reeds in the forefront.

Each of the ‘square’ embellishments was stamped in a different shade of green, Pistachio Pudding at the top, then Wild Wasabi and Garden Green at the bottom.  Each was punched using the Stamp Punch then the edges sponged in Pistachio Pudding before attaching to card base with Stampin Dimensionals.

The ‘Birthday Greetings’ is part of the Wetlands set and stamped in Wild Wasabi. I am pleased to say he liked the card:-)
