My great-nephew will be celebrating his third birthday next week. He lives in England so I don’t get to see him as much as I would like, but his mother sends me lots of photos of him (and his new baby sister)
I don’t think I have seen a picture of him, though, without a train in his hand, he loves his train set and spent some hours showing me how it worked when I visited last November.
So I decided to make a punch art train for his birthday card and to share it with you as my 5th punch art project on this blog.
I used all Stampin Up products to make this embellishment.
The background is in Basic Gray, cut using the 3rd largest of the Window Frames Framelits, with the bottom curve trimmed off.
Next came a 2 1/2 circle in Real Red with a 1 3/4 x 2 1/2 tag cut in Pacific Point. the little ‘windows’ were cut from Basic Black with 3/8 circle and in Daffodil Delight with 1/2 circle
The face was made using 1 1/2 circle in Basic Black and 1 1/4 circle in Smoky Slate and the features hand-drawn with the Basic Gray Stampin’ Marker. The ‘fender’ underneath the face was punched from Real Red with the Modern Label Punch, then Basic Black with the Word Window punch.
I enjoyed working thru the design and hope he thinks he has a really ‘Great’ Aunt!
Happy punching 🙂
