It has been a week or so since I last posted…… my computer went blank on me, just a white, winking arrow……nothing worked until a friend had a close look at it, fixed and then gave me a severe lecture on NOT using ‘clean disk’ and ‘defrag’ 😦
But here we are nearly half way thru June already and July is knocking at the door. That means Independence Day is about 3 weeks away. Here is a perfect embellishment for a scrapbook page or card.
Start with a 11/2 x11/2 inch square in Whisper White card. Using the Word Window punch cut out 2 pieces in Real Red, for the stripes on the hat, and 1 in Night of Navy for the brim of the hat. attach red strips to white square with snail adhesive then trim off the extra pieces level with the white square. Add the blue strip to form the brim again using snail adhesive.
With 1 3/4 Scalloped Circle punch out one in Whisper White then sponge edges with Smoky Slate ink. Punch face with 1 1/4 circle in Blushing Bride card, use snail adhesive to attach to sponged piece, then a black or basic grey marker to drawer in the features. Use snail adhesive to attach to back of the hat. A star in silver glimmer paper completes the piece. I should like to thank Mary Hamilton for the inspiration.

You were scolded because you forgot to clean and defrag or you cleaned too much??
