I recently received a copy of the Book of Morman from Shelli and Sterling Gardner and it contained a handmade bookmark, it got me thinking that with all the electronic media we have these days the good ol’ bookmark really doesn’t have much of a chance! But we all do have at least one book we could use one in ~ our Stampin’ Up! annual catalog for example!
I always have a little gift for each of my customers and for March…. you guessed it…. they all got a bookmark!
I used a 2 x 8 1/2 strip of Naturals Ivory card (about to retire!) so you can get 5 from a sheet. Punched out the top using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. The bottom corners rounded with the Project Life corner rounder punch.
The stamp set is Butterfly Basics, the ink colors were So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Early Expresso (for the greeting) and finally a ‘dash’ of Melon Mambo (because it was on my work table at the time!) An Itty Bitty butterfly punched from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper attached with a glue dot then about 4″ of 1/2″ seam binding in various colors from my stash!! (see page 207 of the catalog….. some of these are retiring over the coming weeks)
Here are some of the supplies:
