The end of May saw my daughter-in-law celebrate a birthday, since it was 10 days after the arrival of her second daughter, the celebration was a low-key affair.
I had been using the Sheltering Tree stamp set a lot and I was drawn to the idea of making a birthday card with it.
This stamp set is full of lots of lovely images so you can build a picture. It was introduced in the Occasions Mini Catalog back in January and I am delighted that it made it into the 2015 ~ 2016 Annual Catalog so that I can use it year round!
Base Card: Whisper White ~ cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored @ 41/4
Layer 1: Soft Suede ~ cut 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
Layer 2: Whisper White ~ cut 3 x 3
Ink Colors : Soft Suede, Melon Mambo and Pistachio Pudding (now retired but Pear Pizzazz will work very well!)
I used the double layer stamping technique (similar to triple layer ) for more information you can find my video on this if you just click here!
The greeting comes from ‘And Many More’ stamp set ~ I used this set on the card I posted last Saturday, lots of useful phrases most of which will fit into the Word Window and Washi Label Punch.
