Halloween Among the Branches ~ from Stampin’ Up!

This stamp set did not really appeal for me until I saw it when I was at the Stampin’ Up Inspire, Create, Share event in Salt Lake City back in July.

It has stamps that work for Halloween, Thanksgiving/Fall and Christmas – all three of the major holidays.  I have used this set a lot in my classes over the last couple of months and have a few cards to share with you over the coming days.

First off…………………. Halloween – just a few days away as I write this:

Base card : 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 Smoky Slate ~ scored at 4 1/4

The Happy Halloween greeting is from the ‘And Many More’ Stamp set (a great set to have as it covers all sorts of occasions and fit 2 of the punches ‘ Word Window’ and ‘Washi Label’ punches (any stamp that has a coordinating punch is always wonderful in my view!)

Ink colors ~ Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate and Archival Basic Black Ink

I embossed the front of the card with the Woodland Textured embossing folder, then gently added some Smoky Slate ink with a sponge dauber to bring out the tree trunk and branches.  Just behind the ‘Spooky’ is a scalloped circle of Black Glimmer paper which gives it a deep sort of glow, then a little Rich Razzleberry ribbon to give it a pop!

All these images are available in that one set and that is just the Halloween ones.

The black doily is available in a packet of 24 ~ all cut out and ready for use.  They are black on one side and white on the other – so I flipped one over, applied some Versamark ink then used heat and stick powder to adhere silver glitter all over and this is what I got………….

It is fabulous and I am looking for and idea to use it worthy of its sparkliness!!! (its a word, I’m sure)

So these doilies are not just for Halloween!
