Today the USA celebrates its independence from Great Britain, a time for family, friends, food (mainly BBQ’d) and the odd foaming peevo! Normally it would be a hot sunny July day here in North Texas, however we were woken up by huge thunderstorms and rain at about 5:30 this morning. It is a little after 10am now, although the rain has stopped it is still very overcast and most ‘unlovely’…… Typical bank holiday weather in my native UK in fact!
I have a couple of patriotic projects to share today. A card I made for one of my sweet ladies who comes to class and always brings cookies, candies, cupcakes for each of the holidays – this time it was red, white and blue cupcakes (we ate them before taking a picture to share)
Base card : 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 Real Red card
Layer 1: 10 1/2 X 4 Extra Thick Whisper White ~ scored @ 5 1/4
Layer 2: 3 1/4 X 3 1/4 Night of Navy card
Layer 3: 3 X 3 Whisper White card
Ink colors ate Night of Navy and Real Red. Stamp sets were Work of Art for the red stripy bits and Celebrate Today for the greeting…….. And the little stars inside the card are from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set, which is full of little stamps to build up a variety of backgrounds.
This was a class I had earlier in June, the frame is 7 X 5 and each of the block were 2 x 2, it was a fun project and we shall be making more layouts for the upcoming holidays in the coming months.
Happy Stamping 🙂
If you’d like any of the supplies, to shop, or to get a catalog, please feel free to contact me, and if you’re thinking of joining Stampin’ Up! and my team I’d most definitely like to hear from you.
Love this card… Did you use punches for the stars?

Yes, Anne Marie, I used the medium star punch from Stampin Up for the larger star and the tiny one is from the Bitty Accent punch pack which sadly retired at the end of May. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment 😀
