Watercolor Wings ~ Mystery Stamping

I have shared with you before that my Stampin’ Up! grandma is very active in inspiring her team of demonstrators.  She lives in Arizona but a significant number of her team are here in North Texas.  To stay in touch with us she periodically organises on-line events thru our group Facebook page.  Last Thursday we had a ‘mystery stamp’ event.

We were given a small supply list, 11 x 4 1/4 very vanilla card, 2 ink colors, one a lighter shade of the other, a stamp set with images and words, complimentary punch, some washi tape or strip of DSP, embellishments and a sponge.

Over 40 mins she posted one line instructions for us to make a card using the supplies and when it was complete to share it on the Facebook page.

I used the stamp set and ink colors that were already on my workbench from another project and here is the result:

Card Base:  11 x 4 1/4 Very Vanilla  card ~ scored at 5 1/2

Ink Colors: Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point

Stamp set is Watercolor Wings with a small strip of washi tape from the Affectionately Yours pack with some additional butterflies using the Bitty Butterfly punch.

It was OK…ish but it really did not ‘speak’ to me – I did not feel it was really finished, I set it aside for a couple of days until earlier today – it bothered me just sitting there … finished but not really if you understand me.

I trimmed the card down to 5 1/4 x 4 then attached it to a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Tempting Turquoise card base – and there it was ……. finished, at least it is to me!

I hope you like today’s card – please let me know in a comment below.
