Father’s Day ~ better late than never

I made this card for an on-line swap back in late May and although it is a Father’s Day card the layout and colors  can be used for a birthday card for a guy or change the colors out and it would work perfectly for a feminine card – and that is the beauty of the two stamp sets that I used for this card ~ Pop of Paradise and Thoughtful Banners because they have images and words that are really flexible.

Card Base:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Dapper Denim ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1 : 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card

Ink Colors: Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy.

I stamped the fern leaves and added a couple of strips of Designer Series Paper before running the white layer thru the Big Shot with the Brick Wall embossing folder.

The words ‘Have a’ and ‘Happy’ are two separate little stamps, so I attached them to a clear block together so they were centered and I could stamp it together.  I also curved the ‘Fathers Day’ stamp so that it would fit into the banner stamp that is also part of the Thoughtful Banners Stamp set.

You want to check out the Thoughtful Banners stamp set – it has a huge variety of different words that you can put together to say exactly your message and it is available in a bundle with the Duet Banner Punch where you can save 10% !

I hope you like today’s card – please let me know in a comment by clicking the link at just underneath the title of this post – thank you for taking the time to do this.
