Vertical Greetings ~ Stampin’ Up!

When the 2016 ~ 2017 Annual Catalog came out one of the sets that sparked my imagination was Vertical Greetings, a set with 3 long skinny trees and 6 vertical greetings, I knew it would lend itself to some pretty and simple cards.  So here is the first of what I hope will be many designs.

Card Base:  5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Sweet Sugarplum Card

Layer 1 : 5 1/4 x 6  Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 3″

Ink Colors: Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy and Soft Suede

I used the Stampin’ Markers to ink my stamp before applying to the white card, this allowed me to pick out the trunk, leaves and planter in different colors.  A couple of twists of Linen Thread and some of the new In-Color Enamel Shapes at the center of each ‘cloud’ of leaves and it was done.

I have a great idea for a Christmas card using this set and that heart-shaped one would be fantastic for a wedding, anniversary or valentine card  – so watch this space!

I hope you like today’s cards – please let me know in a comment ~ by using that little link just under the title
