Double Waterfall Card ~ Stampin’ Up! Products

This is one of those cards that you make for someone special – a friend who has a heart of gold, is in your Stampin’ Up! team, is very supportive and brings you cookies and cakes when she visits!

When you make a card for a fellow card maker you know that she will appreciate it but that she will also look at it very closely to see how it is done!  So you try to out do yourself because you don’t want to produce an ‘ordinary’ card.

Outside ~ all folded up with Belly Band

This card starts with 2 sheets of Very Vanilla Card ~ cut 10 x 5 1/2, each scored at 4, 6 & 8″ A wedge is cut from the 4″ score line to 2″ the outside edge of the card, than all the folds put into place to create the ‘double waterfall’

Base:  4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Very Vanilla Card

Belly Band: 9 1/2 x 2″ Very Vanilla

DSP: 2 pieces, 5 x 6 is the Sahara Sand from the Neutrals Pack,  I just cannot begin to explain in words how I cut them other than each piece is 1 3/4 wide !  (I guess I need to think about making a video on this one!)

Ink Colors: Sahara Sand

Every single edge was sponged in Sahara Sand, the inside and belly band decorated with the Timeless Textures Stamp Set.

To give more stability the 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Very Vanilla card was attached to the back

Inside card

The Botanical Builders Framelits Dies really came into their own for the decoration, I used a mixture of Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand card, sponged all the edges then built up the flowers .

I was really pleased with the result and I know my friend loved it as well.  I hope you like today’s project – please let me know in a comment ~ by using that little link just under the title of this post
