Day 22 of our Advent countdown – featuring the squares of an Advent Calendar my friend, Elly, from the UK and I designed during her visit in October using a 24 cup mini muffin pan. Throughout this month I have been sharing a square a day with a little description of how we made it.
You will want to open each post, as there will be a little treat behind each one! Some days it might be some virtual ‘candy’ or sweeties as we call them in the UK, other times it might be a card, 3D project or a video!
Each of the squares start with a 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch base with 4 little magnets stuck to the back with glue dots. The primary colors are Real Red, Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Soft Sky. Ink Colors included those above, plus two neutrals of Tip Top Taupe and Early Expresso.
A simple little Christmas tree with a cute star at the top ~ a lovely simple square. Once again the Candy Cane Christmas Stamp set was used in Old Olive, layered with a Stampin’ Dimensional on 2 x 2 Red Glimmer Paper and Old Olive
As many of you know I am originally from England where the first Christmas tree as we now know it, was first introduced by ‘good Queen Charlotte’, the German wife of George III, who set up the first known English tree at Queen’s Lodge, Windsor, in December, 1800. It makes an interesting read ~ click here for more info if you have a minute!
Today’s Virtual Treat:
