My niece in the UK, is about to move house again! Her husband is in the British military and this will be their 5th move in the nearly 7 years they have been married.
Moving is an exhausting business ~ to pack up then unpack, not only physically but emotionally. When we moved about 3 years ago I did the ‘grieving’ part of the move while I was removing all our personal items before putting the house on the market, by that time it was not longer our home but a house, when it came time to leave I was ready. Knowing all of this I wanted to send her a card to let her know I was thinking of her.
I chose the same fold as the baby card I shared a few days ago – it is just a little different.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Daffodil Delight ~ scored @ 2 3/4 & 5 1/2
Layer 1: 4 x 2 1/2 Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate (silver side up)
Layer 2 : 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 Daffodil Delight Card
Layer 3: 4 x 2 1/2 Whisper White Card
Smoky Slate and Daffodil Delight ink was used to stamp ‘Congratulations’ which is from the Floral Phrases stamp set.
I cut the flower out of the Whisper White layer using the Big Shot and Stylish Stems Framelits Dies before layering it directly onto the Daffodil Delight card. The leaves are from the same die set and cut from Pear Pizzazz Card. (This set is about to retire and is sadly no longer available)
I also used another of those Enamel Shapes – I found in my stash the other day, this time in Pear Pizzazz which comes in the same pack as the Wisteria Wonder one I used on the Baby Card.
