I have wonderful customers who shop for their Stampin’ UP! goodies with me – I am deeply grateful for their support and honored they choose me as their demonstrator.
I like to send each of them a thank you to show my appreciation – sometimes I choose to share them on my blog.
This card is based on a design by Jenny Peterson – I just added my own little creative twist 🙂 and as I was making it I realised it had a number of different techniques or features that would benefit from explaining a little, so I switched on my camera.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Sahara Sand Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1:5 x 3 3/4 Sahara Sand Card
Ink Colors: Sahara Sand and Berry Burst.
I created the white card circle with my Big Shot and Stitched Circle framelits – but Stampin’ UP! has a brand new 2 1/4″ circle punch that will do the job just perfectly – however I don’t yet have this punch in my stash so I used what I had !
As I explain in my video, I dearly wish I could have learned to read music, when I was around 11 or 12 I started to learn to play guitar, my Mum and Dad found a teacher and I went every Saturday morning for my lesson – all we did though, was to learn scales for months on end, not a single tune or chord to break the monotony, and I struggled to read the music. The tedious practice 2 – 3 times a week, bored me stiff and the repetitiveness of the scales drove my poor parents up the wall, so we came to a mutual agreement that I would give up the guitar, and thus end my musical career! But I sure do love that music background stamp!
Thank you for stopping by today ~ I hope you like today’s project – please let me know in a comment ~ by using that little link just under the title.
