Petal Palette – I just love this stamp set – I have shared in the past how much I love flowers and using them in my cards and this one has them + a cute little bird and a boatload of useful greetings. Today’s card uses a number of products from the Petal Passion Suite in the Occasions Catalog. This suite features mainly black and white with a little flash of silver – so it will go with just about anything in Stampin’ UP!’s range of colors, today I chose to go with Calypso Coral.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Calypso Coral Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 Petal Passion Designer Series Paper
Banner 1: 4 x 3/4 Smoky Slate Card
Banner 2: 3 3/4 x 3/4 Petal Passion DSP – this is the same sheet as the flowery layer but flipped over to reveal the ‘strippy’ pattern on the other side.
The Petal Passion DSP is black and white I chose to use a blender pen with a little Calypso Coral ink to shade some of the flowers on the paper.
The little bird is stamped in Calypso Coral and the greeting in Smoky Slate on Whisper White card the cut with the 2 1/4 circle punch.
Those beautiful embellishments are also from the same suite of products – you get 24 in the box – 12 each of the flower and leaves. Both are attached to the circle with a glue dot which is then attached with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
