Sweet and Simple ~ Timeless Textures

Timeless Textures just has to be one of my favorite stamp sets, it can be used to give texture for another focal point or can feature on its own – just as I have today.

This is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal.  Then you find the basics such as stock, herbs and spices etc are ‘pantry’ items and it turns out that the meal was made with a whole host of ‘hidden’ stuff we did not know about.

Card base: 11 x 5 1/2 Thick Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1:  5 1/4 x 4 Smoky Slate Card

Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card

Layer 3: 3 1/8 x 2 1/8 Whisper White Card

Ink Color: Archival Basic Grey and Smoky Slate.

The Smoky Slate 1/2″ Gingham ribbon is just perfect for this card – if the truth be known I chose the ribbon first then the colors for the card!

The ‘Hello’ is cut with the 1″ circle, layered onto Smoky Slate cut with the 1 1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch

My ‘pantry items’ are adhesive, Stampin’ Trimmer, Bone folder and Paper-Piercing tool, my aim is to create  with 1 stamp set and some ink pads, 1 embellishment (other than paper or card)  and an additional tool, probably a punch, well I did use 2 punches today but I still think I met my challenge.
