Today I am thrilled to be taking part in the Ink & Share blog hop again. You will have arrived from Linda Handford’s post. This month’s theme is anything from the Occasions Catalog ~ and I have chosen Lovely Wishes because I just love the swirls and the organic ‘feel’ of the images, looking at my card I kinda have a ying-yang thing going on here. The stamp set also has some greetings so meets my goal of using just one stamp set for each project .
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Berry Burst card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Berry Burst Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Colors: Berry Burst, Wild Wasabi and Memento Tuxedo Black
All the circles were cut using the Layering Circles Framelits with the Big Shot. I chose a circle that would comfortably fit the stamp, cut out a blank in Very Vanilla card, then stamped my swirly images – doing it this way it allowed me to evenly position them within my circle.
As often happens when I am making a card it is ribbon that starts the design process – I look in my ribbon drawer and see what ‘speaks’ to me, and that day the Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding just shouted out!
This is my ribbon drawer – I think it is probably my favorite drawer in my craft room.
Thank you for stopping by – I hope you like today’s card – please let me know in a comment ~ by using that little link just under the title.
The wonderful thing about a blog hop is that you get to see projects made by a host of talented papercrafters ~ so go ahead and hit the ‘NEXT’ button below and see what they have to share 🙂
