Multi-layered Cards ~ Naturally Eclectic & Fresh Florals

This is the 3rd set of multi-layered cards I have shared – I just loved doing this technique and as I finished each set I was looking for more scraps of DSP to create more cards.  It is kind of like doing a One Sheet Wonder – but using pieces that were already cut and in my stash.

I was inspired by a  post from Pootles, a UK demonstrator, where she had taken some Designer Series Paper and cut it up to create a number of very pretty layered cards.  Instead of cutting up my DSP I used the scraps that were left over from previous projects. As a result I made about 2 dozen cards in total and although they followed the same formula every single one is different.

I set myself a couple of rules, the layering pieces of card must be the same color as the card base and each card needed to have 3 pieces of DSP.

Card base:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Lemon Lime Twist card ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1:  5 1/4 x 4 Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack

Because I used scraps it is difficult to list the sizes of each of the layers, however the Lemon Lime Twist layers are 1/4″ larger than the DSP giving an 1/8″ border all round.

The ‘Thank You’ is from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set stamped on Whisper White with Tranquil Tide ink then cut with 1″ circle punch and layered onto Lemon Lime Twist cut with 1 1/8 Scallop Circle Punch. On all the cards the 3rd layer was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals an each card had a Tutti- Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequin and a Rhinestone added for bling.

This set is using the Naturally Eclectic DSP pack layered onto Pool Party  card, and Night of Navy ink for the greeting.

I am so thrilled to have used up some of my scraps and to have a lovely stash of ‘thank-you cards’
