Decorative needlework such as cross stitch and free-hand embroidery has been one of my favorite hobbies since I was in my early twenties. So imagine my delight when I opened the new 2019 Occasions catalog to find a suite of products spotlighting stitching!
Today’s card features the Needle and Thread Stamp Set, the Needlepoint Nook DSP and the Old Olive Linen Thread that is part of this suite.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Thick Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 41/2 x 3 3/4 Needlepoint Nook DSP
Layer 2: 3 7/8 x 3 1/4 Blushing Bride Card
Ink Colors: Lovely Lipstick and Blushing Bride
I stamped the piece of Blushing Bride card with the ‘stitch effect’ stamp twice ~ once up and once down – leaving a gap between the two in order to set the banner across the middle which was attached with a couple of Stampin Dimensionals. The DSP is attached with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive before adhering the Blushing Bride piece with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals,
A bow made of the Old Olive Linen Thread and a scattering of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and we have a very pretty card – perfect for a birthday, anniversary or perhaps even a Valentine card 🙂
