HAPPY APRIL everyone!
Yellow and black is one of my favorite combinations, paired with the Southern Seranade Stamp set and you have such a lovely card ~ bright and fresh and just perfect for just about any occasion.
The stamp set has 3 greetings – Happy Birthday, Thank you and the one I chose to use to celebrate a friend.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Daffodil Delight Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic Black Card
Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
The spray of flowers are colored using the light and dark versions of Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, this allowed me to add some shading by making the center of my petals a little darker as well as under the leaves.
The black and white layers are attached together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive before being attached to the base card with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals. A scattering of Pearl Basic Jewels and I am done – a very sweet and simple card #simplestamping.
