We were delighted to learn our friends daughter is expecting her first child at the end of this summer, last weekend we found out it will be a little girl! I know I am old fashioned although I would prefer being called a traditionalist, but I just had to do a pink card!
The Wonderful Moments stamp set has just the perfect image plus the perfect greeting so along with my Stampin’ Blends I was ready to start.
BTW – this stamp set is great for a wedding as well as congratulating a woman on graduation, job promotion, birthday, making an inspirational card – so check it out at the link below.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Blushing Bride Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/2 x 3 Blushing Bride Subtles Designer Series Paper (DSP)
Layer 2: 5 x 2 1/2 Vellum Card
Ink Colors: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Blushing Bride Ink, Ivory, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo and Cajan Craze Stampin Blends
After stamping the base card with the ‘dotty’ stamp from the set in Blushing Bride ink I attached the DSP with some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Stamped the greeting on the Vellum with Memento Ink then attached it to the DSP with a couple of Mini Glue Dots in the middle part so they wont show thru.
The woman is colored using Stampin Blends ~ Ivory for the face and arms then the Light Flirty Flamingo for the dress, to tone it down a little I used the Light Crumb Cake Blend Pen. The Mum-to-Be is auburn so I used the light Cajan Craze Blend then again toned it down with the Light Crumb Cake pen.
The oval is cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (about to retire so get your order in now!) then this added to the card with 4 Stampin Dimensionals.
To complete my ‘dotty’ theme I chose to use the Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon for my bow which is attached with a Mini Glue Dot.
