Welcome to the Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop, we are group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.
You will have either arrived from Lisa’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME. This month we have a ‘Sketch Challenge ‘ ~ where we have been given a layout for us to choose colors and a theme.
Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.
So here is the sketch
My youngest niece (who lives in the UK) has just finished some milestone exams and will be having her first prom in the next couple of weeks. I wanted to keep the memories safely but not yet sure what color her dress will be – so I worked thru with a variety of greens which I think will be a neutral background for whatever color she has chosen. I will add some journaling under the PROM such as the date and location when I have that info!
The base color is Pear PIzzazz and the layers are Whisper White and Mossy Meadow, these are the colors I have plucked out of the gorgeous Garden Lane Designer Series Paper.
I chose the ‘Make a Difference’ Stamp Set to create my sub-titles and the brand new Hand-Lettered Prose Dies for the PROM. I prettied up the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch and put a little Pearl Basic Jewel on each one.
I used the Starburst Punch with a scrap of Petal Pink card to layer the sub-titles which were cut with the 2″ Circle Punch. I could not resist using the 5/8 Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon for the banner in the top right hand corner and a bow to put things together…. oh and a couple of the Petal Pink Frosted Flower Embellishments!
