Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.
Time for a card for the fellas in our lives, I find it quite hard to think of ideas for the guys so the ‘Let It Ride’ stamp set has come in very useful, horses, trees and some inspirational greetings all come in this set.
I have chosen to make a card for the fellas but if you have a ‘horse lover’ in your family or circle of friends you could change up the colors and it would work just as well for either gender.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Balmy Blue Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 2 Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper – sort thru until you find the wood grained one!
Layer 2: 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 Early Expresso Card
Layer 3: 4 x 3 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Color: Early Expresso
Now I bet you would not have thought to look in a packet of decorative paper called ‘Pressed Petals’ to find a piece of paper that you could use for a guy card – but it was there – so happy to see it as it makes this pack of DSP so much more versatile.
The wood grained effect DSP is attached with some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The trees are stamped twice , then one of the trees is stamp again to fill the card. This layer is attached to the Early Expresso layer with the Liquid Adhesive then attached to the card base with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals.
A couple of loops of Linen Tread sort of reminds me of a rope or lasso – keeping up the horsey theme and the greeting is popped up on a couple more Stampin Dimensionals.
I like it – a very peaceful card I think!
