Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.
Tucked away on page 168 of the 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog are some of the cutest notecards – they have a dainty scalloped edge to the card as well as the envelope. The Scalloped Notecards and Envelope pack contains 20 cards with envelopes – 5 each of 4 different colors.
I chose to use these along with the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set and some water color pencils to make the Thank You cards for my lovely customers who shopped with me for their Stampin’ UP! supplies in July.
Card base: Scalloped Notecards
Layer 1: 4 3/4 x 3 Designer Series Paper Subtles and Regals Pack
Layer 2: 2 1/2 x 2 Whisper White Card layered onto 2 3/8 x 2 1/8 Old Olive Card layered onto 2 3/4 x 2 1/4 in a coordinating color.
Ink Color: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Watercolor Pencils
I stamped the small magnolia into the top left hand corner of the Whisper White card – leaving enough space for the ‘Thank You’ greeting. I really love the watercolor pencils – there are a total of 20 colors and you can blend different colors together, which is what I did with these cards, then I used a Blender Pen to gently blend the colors together – I have listed the colors I used beneath each of the following pictures. You need to work very gently with the blender pen as it can ‘pill’ your card if it gets too wet by repeated brush strokes.
