Magnolia Thank you ~ DSP Panel Card

welcome back to my corner of the world

Magnolias have become so popular this year – we had a Southern Magnolia in our garden at our former house, the blooms were superb but sadly only lasted about a day.  The leaves were a lovely, shiny deep green on the top side and  kinda gingery furry underneath – we loved them until they got into the pool and choked up the pool cleaner!

I have used  the lovely Magnolia Lane DSP for my focal point for my card today which was my thank you card for my  customers who shopped with me for their SU goodies in September.

Card base: Whisper White Note Card and Envelopes ~ 20 cards and envelopes for just $7!

Layer 1: 3 x 1 1/2 Magnolia Lane DSP layered onto 3 1/8 x 1 5/8 Basic Black Card

Layer 2: 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 Magnolia Lane DSP layered onto 2 7/8 x 1 5/8 Basic Black Card

Ink Colors: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink

I can hear you groan on cutting 1/8’s and 5/8’s but with the brand new Stampin UP! Paper Trimmer it is so very easy – I will be sharing a video on it in the next couple of days so watch this space!

I used the the ‘Thank You’ from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set – I just love the cursive font from this set, this was stamped first then the DSP/Card panels added afterwards using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive for the horizontal one then Stampin Dimensionals for the vertical one.  A trio of Gold Metallic Pearls and we are done.

Although I made this as a thank you – change out the greeting and it would make a great birthday card.  The format would work for a guy card if you changed out the DSP – the possibilities for this style of card are great!
