Welcome to the Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop, we are group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.
You will have either arrived from Rebecca-Jo’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME. This month we have been challenged with a Spring/New Beginnings theme
Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.
Flowers and leaves are usually the harbinger of Spring and spring is the start of a new beginning for the year in my garden. I love to see my garden full of plants, some flowering and some not – I am not so keen, however, on gardening as such and so my garden is a labor of love throughout the year.
I took my color inspiration from one of the sheets of paper in the Best Dressed DSP – Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive and Blushing Bride.
The piece of DSP measures 6 x 6 which I cut diagonally into 4 pieces. The Lovely Lipstick layer measured 6 1/4 x 6 1/4 – again cut diagonally into 4 pieces with the Paper Trimmer. ‘Spring’ is cut from Lovely Lipstick Card using the Hand-Lettered Prose dies layered onto the second to largest Stitched Nested Label.
I used the Floral Essence Stamp Set with the coordinationg Perennial Flower and Leaf Punches to create the flower embellishments with a Whisper White Best Dressed Tassel and Clear Faceted Gem

Very beautiful! And suitable for many occasions. I’m curious to see which photos will come in there.

I am not yet sure what photos I will use – I tend to create the pages then look for the ‘perfect’ photos. I have a lot of ’empty’ pages that I use when the perfect occasion arises 🙂
