Welcome back to my corner of the world
When I saw that Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon had been carried over to the Annual Catalog I was so thrilled, it is 1/4 wide, has sparkly bits in it and ties the most scrummy bows! As so often happens with me it was the starting point for today’s card.
I also used the Forever Fern Stamp Set again, this time with two shades of blue ( who said leaves had to be green?) This has the most wonderful variety of leaf images, so easy to build up a great design.
Card base: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Misty Moonlight Card
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card run thru cutting/embossing machine with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder
Layer 2: 8 1/2 x 3 1/4 Seaside Spray Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 3: 4 x 3 Misty Moonlight Card
Layer 4: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray
As always with this type of card, I stamped the greeting first, that way I know I have enough room for it. I can’t tell you the number of times I have gaily stamped away only to find there is not space left! The lighter ink leaves are stamped first then the darker ones, it seems to give a better finish than the other way around!
I used the coordinating Forever Flourishing Dies to cut 3 sprigs from Champagne Foil.
The fold is a little unusual as the card base is a background and layers 2, 3 & 4 are attached to this as a small ‘tent’ card.
