Welcome to this month’s Design Team Project, the first for me and the team as a whole. Over the coming days there will be lots more projects which I hope you will go check out!

I have kicked off my first design with a mini folio using envelopes, this is a theme I have been doing over the last couple of months having done a folio using 1 , 2 and 3 envelopes, today’s project uses 4 envelopes and I was so thrilled to be using some beautiful papers from the Hither and Yon Studio (I put a link below) Check out the video and let me know what you think!

Mini Hybrid Journal ~ Step 6 Single String Medori Style Centre

Now the folios have been constructed and decorated it is time to return to the cover to continue the construction ready to add a signature and the folios. In this post and video I am working thru the assembly of a single string medori style centre ready for the final assembly and adding a policy closure to folio #2……….. excited that this is now taking shape 🙂

By the way – this is my 2000th post here on my blog – it has taken me just over 13 years to get to this point!!!!!

For the last 5 – 6 years I have designed and enjoyed making my flip over desk calendar for the ladies who came to my classes.  As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. Like last year, I recognize not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month and included a video to show how I went about making the card.

So today I share, the cutest witchy boots and pumpkins!

Mini Hybrid Journal Part 4 ~ Construction of Mini Folio # 2

Hello, wonderful readers! This is the 4th video in the series and today I am taking the next step in creating the Mini Hybrid Journal by constructing the second of the 2 folios that will make up the ‘hybrid’ part of the journal. I have put a link to the first folio below as well as a downloadable recipe containing all the measurements and scoring for each piece of the folio.

What is a Hybrid Journal – that basically means it has a couple of folios and then some regular pages in the middle. I am also making my first Medori-style feature to hold those middle pages together! There will be a total of 9 posts and videos – I hope that you will follow along with me as I work my way thru!

Hello, wonderful readers! This is the 2nd video in the series and today I am taking the next step in creating the Mini Hybrid Journal by constructing the first of the 2 folios that will make up the ‘hybrid’ part of the journal. Hello, wonderful readers! Today I am embarking on a project that will be a gift for a very dear friend who is celebrating a milestone birthday. By the time you read this I will already have given it to her so there’s no problem with spoiling the surprise.
