Hello, wonderful readers! This is the 2nd video in the series and today I am taking the next step in creating the Mini Hybrid Journal by constructing the first of the 2 folios that will make up the ‘hybrid’ part of the journal. The first one is the more straight forward of the two folios and there is a downloadable ‘recipe’ as well as a video to follow.

What is a Hybrid Journal – that basically means it has a couple of folios and then some regular pages in the middle. I am also making my first Medori-style feature to hold those middle pages together! There will be a total of 9 posts and videos – I hope that you will follow along with me as I work my way thru!

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Hello, wonderful readers! Today I am embarking on a project that will be a gift for a very dear friend who is celebrating a milestone birthday. By the time you read this I will already have given it to her so there’s no problem with spoiling the surprise.

Challenge # 222 ~ Hidden Message Card – with a Vintage Vibe

The challenge is to create a card with a hidden message, I took that to mean there would not be a greeting on the outside but a hidden one on the inside somewhere! To add to the challenge I decided to make a masculine card and as it turner out it had a vintage sort of feel to it as well. So today I am offering a “tunnel card”, that is what I am calling it anyway ~ I saw one of those fb shorts that lasted for about 30 secs which did not give any measurements but just the assembly – so in my video I work thru the steps, make a few errors and share how I work thru them!!!

‘Christmas in July’ # 3 ~ Whimsical Card Idea

The 3rd and final ‘Christmas in July’ card for 2026. I wanted whimsical and I think I have achieved that ~ it is soooo stinkin’ cute!

I have enjoyed creating these even though we were going thru a heatwave here in the UK!!! Today I am just using some card and paper ~ no ink, no stamps, no punch or dies ~ not even a piece of ribbon but just a few rhinestones and some adhesive!!! The card in the video is 7 x 5 but I have included cutting instructions for a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card if you prefer that size.

Alcohol Markers on Handmade Cards ~ Colouring Techniques

While working thru today’s video it occurred to me that there are a number of different ways to add colour to your cards stamped images or to die cut pieces.
