Ink . Stamp. Share ScrapBook Blog Hop ~ Shapes

Welcome to the  Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  we are  group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.

You will have either arrived from Alison’s  post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME.  This month are theme is ‘Shapes’  ~ this was a challenge for me and as a result my page is very simple.

Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice

Due to the travel restrictions I have not been able to spend any birthdays with family but I have been sent photographs so my plan is to add a number of those smaller photographs around my shapes 🙂

I have been playing around with the layered circle technique (there are lots of video tutorials available) It uses the Layering Circles Dies to cut circles of varying sizes with different card colors layering them on top of each other and cutting them in half . You need to make two of each pattern so that you can pair them up to create the ‘swirly’ effect. I then started to think about using squares to create a similar effect, so out came the Layering Square Dies.

I chose Smoky Slate as my background then grounded all my pieces of card with Smoky Slate and Basic Grey Card. Absolutely no stampin’ or ink of any kind, but since I had my Cut and Emboss Machine out I used the Well Written Dies with some Gold Foil and Adhesive Sheet for my message.

Check out how I use Adhesive Sheet

This is what I did with the other ‘halves’ 🙂

I love the idea of adding all the birthday snaps. Think we have all missed family so much this year so a great way to record special occasions, thank you for sharing x
