HIghland Heather has featured a lot in my designs recently, I think it is because it is a nice springtime color and after the awful winter storm we had 4 weeks ago in North Texas I am in need of a little Spring!
Today’s card started out with a couple of 2 x 2 scraps of the True Love Designer Series Paper, I hate to waste scraps and they make a really great focal point!
- Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Highland Heather Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
- Layer 1: 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 Vellum Card
- Layer 2: 2 pieces 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 Basic Black Card
- Layer 3: 2 pieces 2 x 2 True Love DSP
- Ink Color: Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape
I used Highland Heather ink and the Vine Design Stamp Set to create the ‘tone-on-tone’ stamping onto the card base, then used a couple of Mini Glue Dots to attach the Vellum Card, ensuring they would be behind the panels so they would not show.
The DSP is attached to the card layers with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, then attached to the card base with Stampin Dimensionals. A quick bow from the Gorgeous Grape 3/8 Sheer Ribbon and a smattering of silver Metallic Pearls and we are done! – I love it, how about you?
