Ink . Stamp. Share ScrapBook Blog Hop ~ Use A Punch

Welcome to the  Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  we are  group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.

You will have either arrived from Heike’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME.  This month are theme is to use a Punch in our layout, since punches are one of my favorite paper crafting tools I am looking forward to this one!!

This time I have chosen to make an 8 x 6 page for a change – I was able to use the Basic Black 6 x 8 Album with the coordinating photo pocket Pages.

We are about to welcome a new addition to our family, the parents are going to wait until it is born to find out if it is a girl or boy so I have chosen a gender neutral color which works very well with the Turtle Punch I chose to use.

Base layer: 8 x 6 Pear Pizzazz Card

Layer 1: 7 3/4 x 5 3/4 Basic White Card

Layer 2 : 5 x 3 3/4 Pear Pizzazz Card

Layer 3: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Basic White Card

Ink Colors: Basic Grey and Pear Pizzazz

The Turtle Punch coordinates with the Turtle Friends Stamp Set which I used to stamp the large turtle onto a scrap of Basic White card, then cut with the Turtle Punch. I used the Dark Soft Seafoam Blends to color head and legs and the Bronze Blends for the toenails. The shell I stamped onto a scrap of Pear Pizzazz card then used the punch to cut it out then trimmed off the bits I did not need, before attaching it with a couple of Mini Stampin Dimensionals.

I did a similar thing with the greeting, stamping on a scrap of Basic White Card then trimming with paper snips, then punched the shell from a scrap of Pear Pizzazz card, trimming off the head and legs then using a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to attach them together.
