I have made no secret that the Elegantly Said Stamp Set is probably one of my favorite sets from the 2021 -2022 Stampin’ UP! annual catalog, not least because it has the coordinating Elegant Tag punch and for those of you who follow me, know that I do love a punch!

I have paired one of the 2020 -2022 Incolors, Misty Moonlight, with one of the 2021 – 2023 Incolors, Fresh Freesia’ I was musing on my color combination for today’s card they sort of ‘spoke’ to me, so I gave them a try and am really pleased with the result.

• Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Misty Moonlight Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
• Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Fresh Freesia Card
• Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card
• Ink Color: Misty Moonlight and Versamrk

Don’t you just love that beautiful lacy stamp? it is perfect for embossing and this time I heat embossed with clear embossing powder so the white card would show thru before using my Blending Brushes to apply the ink, which is absorbed by the card but repelled by the embossed image – this is known the Emboss Resist Technique. It is fun and easy to do – click this link and it will take you to a post and video link where I share how it all works. 🙂

The greeting is also from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set then cut with the Elegant Tag Punch. I cut a second piece using a scrap of Fresh Freesia card, then offset it so it appeared above the white card. To finish off I chose some Fresh Freesia 3/8 Open Weave Ribbon and a couple of In-color Jewels ~ can you see how they have picked up the ink and card colors?
