Welcome to my Corner of the World

So here we are in September, back in the UK things would start to be cooling down, the nights drawing in and there would be misty mornings. Not so in North Texas ~ after living here for 20 years the only thing there is in common is the days are getting shorter, but they are still hot and dry!

In the early part of last December I had a class to create a flip over calendar, everyone loved it and made me promise we will do another later this year! I thought I might start each month this year by posting the page for that month, so today I share, September which has vibrant Sunflowers!

• Base Card: 5 1/2 x 4 Crushed Curry Card
• Calendar Layer : I have to admit I purchase these, I had no trouble creating the calendar on my computer but the trimming and centering was way beyond my skills set!
• Ink Color: Garden Green and Crumb Cake

The stamp sets are Celebrate Sunflowers and Comfort and Hope Stamp Sets. I used the Medium Daisy Punch to create the sunflowers, using a Blending Brush to add a little Crumb Cake ink to the petal tips to give them a little more ‘life’. A little knot of Bumblebee Gingham Trim and September is complete 🙂
