Whimsical Birthday Sheep Birthday Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

In my Monday post I mentioned Stampin UP!’s Sale-a-bration – an opportunity to earn free products when you place an order before September 30th! So we are in the last couple of weeks of Sale-a-bration for 2021 and I have been sharing projects I have made with the free products to give you some inspiration. So today I have 2 whimsical cards to share ~ one using the Counting Sheep Stamp set and another using the same stamp set with the coordinating Sheep Dies.

  • Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Pool Party Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
  • Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Pear Pizzazz Card
  • Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card
  • Ink Color: Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede

Both cards have the same basic pieces, the card on the left was made just using the stamp set. I stamped the sheep on to the Basic White layer, then onto a scrap of copy paper which I fussy cut with some paper snips, then carefully laid it over the sheep on my card before using a Blending Brush to add some Pear Pizzazz ink for the grass and Pool Party ink for the sky, You can get the Stamp set when you place an order for $50 of SU product.

For the right hand card, I added the grass and sky directly onto the Basic White layer, then used the Sheep Dies to cut the fence from a scrap of Soft Suede card and to cut the sheep after being stamped on a scrap of Basic White card. I colored his face and hooves with the Early Expresso Watercolor Pencil The die set includes the die for the cute little hat and balloon which was cut from a scrap of the Ombre Specialty Paper. You can get the Sheep Dies when you place an order for $50 of SU product.

If you order the supplies for these card listed below you will be able to choose both of these goodies for your free product.
