Cute Hedgehog ‘Friend’ Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

My sister has always had a soft spot for hedgehogs, in the UK they are common and welcome visitors to gardens as they feed on the things that feed on the plants! I was really surprised to learn that they can be house pets here in the US!

Today’s card features the Happy Hedgehog Bundle, a stamp set with a coordinating punch!

  • Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 So Saffron Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
  • Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Basic White Card
  • Layer 2: 4 x 2 3/4 Soft Suede Card
  • Layer 3: 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 Basic White Card
  • Ink Color: Soft Suede

I started by stamping the greeting on the bottom right hand corner of the Basic White layer before attaching it to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I broke out my Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen to color the pretty blossoms on the tree which reminds me very much of the peach tree blossoming in my garden right this minute!

Stamping the hedgehog on Basic White card, then cutting out with the Hedgehog builder punch, then stamping again on a scrap of Crumb Cake and punch out his little prickly back – don’t you just love this little guy?

I hope you enjoyed the card I shared with you today, I love what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and much more.
