Ink . Stamp. Share ScrapBook Blog Hop ~ Joy’s of Spring

Welcome to the  Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  we are  group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.

You will have either arrived from Sherrie’s   post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME.  This month our theme is “the Joy of Spring’

I have chosen to make another 8 x 6 layout today ~ I have been building up a ‘small’ scrapbook in the last year or so, just to be a little different but also to use the Memories and More Basic Black 6 x 8 Album – which is super cute

Spring came very early here in North Texas, my peach tree was showing blossom during the last week of February ~ if we have a late frost I am sure to loose my harvest this year 😦 So lets keep our fingers cross that Jack Frost will move on and leave my pretty peach blossoms alone!!

My background pages are cut 8 x 6 from So Saffron Card, such a bright and cheerful spring color! I added a couple of strips from the Rain or Shine decorative paper pack with the equally cheerful daisies and pretty blue sky. My ink colors are So Saffron and Early Expresso

Unusually for me I used 2 different stamp sets, Alphabest for my banners and Easter Bunny. Both these sets have a coordinating punch for cutting out the shapes. My bunnies are colored using the Bronze/Ivory Stampin Blends.

There is a little journaling panel tucked underneath the top bunny, which simply lifts up. My final flourish was to add some Loose Daisy Embellishments which are attached with a tiny drop of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

If you look very carefully the two rabbits face one-another – the stamp set has a bunny that looks to the right, but not to the left ……… I will be sharing how to do this in another post with a video tutorial 🙂

I know not everyone is into scrapbooking – the various elements on this page can be used to make a card – watch this space over the next few days I will share what I came up with!
