You will have either arrived from Sherrie’s   post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME.  This month our theme is “the Joy of Spring’

I have chosen to make another 8 x 6 layout today ~ I have been building up a ‘small’ scrapbook in the last year or so, just to be a little different but also to use the Memories and More Basic Black 6 x 8 Album – which is super cute

Sweet Songbird Congratulations Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

One of my grand-daughter’s is into dance and has been very successful in competitions. Just before Christmas we learned that she has been selected to compete on behalf of the UK in the World Dance Championships in Portugal this coming summer. As you can imagine we are beyond proud of her accomplishment and could not let it go without a card to tell her so!

She has just turned 10 so the Sweet Songbird Stamp Set with coordinating Songbird punch is just perfect for the job.

As always with samplers there is quite a few materials and tools used but the result is so worth it 🙂

Sweet and Simple Tulip Birthday Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal!

Spring Time Thank You Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

A couple of weeks ago I designed a Spring themed scrapbook page for a blog hop, I had cut lots of pieces using the Pierced Blooms Dies from the Subtles family of Stampin’ UP! colors. Well when I finished the scrapbook page I had a bunch of pieces left over – never one to waste anything, I used them to make today’s card. Also it gives me the chance to show you how scrapbooking ideas and techniques can be used in your card making.

Although I made it into a thank you card, I think it would make a very pretty birthday card if you change out the greeting.

Butterfly Hydrangea Thank you Card ~ Video Tutorial

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I always remember my grandmother having hydrangea bushes in her front garden with huge flower heads, I loved them then and love them still. When I came to live in North Texas I planted some in my front garden, although they grew they never really thrived and I never got the big flower heads I remember as a child.

The Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper gives me all the beautiful hydrangea’s I want and I have used it on today’s card. DSP is one of the first things I look at when a new catalog comes out – and I have to admit that over the years I have been a bit of a hoarder. A few years ago I made a promise to myself that I would use more!
