Welcome to my Corner of the World
Now we are in June my thoughts are turning to cards to celebrate July 4th ~ Independance Day here in the US. I have taken a slightly different approach for today’s card using some slightly muted Red, White and Blue and using the Elegant Border Dies to create the ‘stripes’. I think this would make a great graduation card ~ simply swap out the red and blue for the school colors!
- Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Basic White Thick Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
- Layer 1: 6 x 1 1/2 Poppy Parade Card
- Layer 2: 6 x 1 1/2 Misty Moonlight Card
- Layer 3: 6 x 3 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Poppy Parade, Misty Moonlight and Smoky Slate
The finished size for layer 3 after die cutting the sides is 2 3/4 at the widest point. The stars and greeting is from the ‘Day to Remember Stamp Set’ which were stamped after the layer was die cut.
I attached the die cut red and blue pieces directly to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, then centred the Basic White Panel afterwards, again with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

These dies are so pretty – check out another card using them – this video explains how to line up all the pieces to get the decorative, lacy parts in line with one another.

I hope you enjoyed the card I shared with you today, I love what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and much more.
