Welcome to the Funky Folds Hop ~ a community for like minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds and to share our ideas. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way” so hang onto your hats and see what the talented artisans have to offer 🙂
We don’t have a specific theme ” anything goes” it is all about the fold!!
- Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Pretty Peacock Card ~ download FREE PDF below
- Layer 1: 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 Distressed Gold Specialty Paper
- Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card ~ for piece at back of card.
- Ink Color: Versamark with Gold Embossing Powder
While this looks quite complex it is really very straightforward to do if you are ultra careful with your measurements, scoring and cutting, I find the Stampin’ UP! Paper Trimmer is just perfect to get a good result plus a Bone Folder to make good crisp folds.
I used the Irresistible Blooms Dies to cut a variety of leaves from one of the sheets of Hello Irresistible Decorative Paper, attaching them with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin Dimensionals.

A fascinating Funky Fold Cindy. You are right it does look spectacular & complex. The Distressed Gold paper gives it an ancient Aztec feel. Thank you for providing instructions – I will check them out. x

Wow Cindy, this is one super fancy card fold. The colours are striking and the leaves dies are gorgeous with the cute ribbon bow in the centre. Thanks for participating in the second Funky Folds Blog Hop.
