Continue readingWhen the 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalog was released I was immediately attracted by the Elegantly Said Stamp set. I just loved the stamp with the Jacobean design, with all the curls and loops ( it reminds me of a cross-stitch fire screen I once made) Today I have used it in a very simple but elegant birthday card although you could use any of the greetings in the set to create it for another occasion.

Continue readingToday’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal!
I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool.
Today’s card uses a very simple masking technique to create a clear band of card to make my greeting pop out. The Daisy Lane Stamp Set has a very pretty fern stamp which makes a great background or ‘space filler’

Continue readingOne of the new stamp sets in the 2022 Jan – June mini catalog is Amazing Silhouettes – it has three stamps that produce beautiful silhouetted images. My card today features one of them, without any greeting so that it can be used for just about any occasion – I like to have a few of these in my stash so if needed I can be ready!
