Today’s card uses a very simple masking technique to create a clear band of card to make my greeting pop out. The Daisy Lane Stamp Set has a very pretty fern stamp which makes a great background or ‘space filler’

• Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Very Vanilla Thick Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
• Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Merry Merlot Card
• Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla Card
• Ink Color: Sahara Sand and Merry Merlot

I started by laying a strip of scrap paper across the Very Vanilla layer, then stamped the daisies and ferns, this left me with a clear strip of card to stamp my greeting. I used a birthday greeting but this would make a great design for a thank you or thinking of you or even a sympathy card. Each of the daisies has one of the very subtle and delicate Opal Rounds embellishment.
