Looking back over my last few posts I realize I have slipped back into my old favorite of using flowers! I can’t help it ~ I am drawn to those stamp sets, dies and punches that feature flowers.

Today’s card does have some teeny, tiny flowers, but you are going to see the big, ol’ balloon first along with the beautiful Rainbow Glimmer Paper.

Pretty Ornate Garden Birthday Card

I have shared how I have a tendency to hoard my Designer Series Paper and how I have set a personal goal to use it more often! Today’s card using the beautiful Ornate Garden Specialty Paper in all its glory, taking center stage.

I selected a couple of the colors from the decorative paper for my card base and layers and let the paper do the rest, the only stamping is the greeting!

Learn the Art of Gilded Leafing #4

I have made no secret of the fact I just LOVE the Gilded Leafing Embellishment, I am on my second pot of it and this is the 4th technique I have shared with you to inspire you to purchase some and try it for yourself – it is fun to use and gives a fantastic finish that will just WOW whoever gets this card.

I have chosen to use the Oval Occasions Bundle for me greeting with the Oval Occasions Stamp Set and coordinating Double Oval Punch. If you scroll on down you will see 2 different color versions just to inspire you a little further 🙂

Bumble Bee Birthday Card Idea

I chose to use Bumble Bee design from the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper for todays card, pulling out 2 of the colors for my card, Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight. To showcase the double-sidedness of the paper I used both sides of the same sheet.

Bumble Bees are attracted to flowers so I built up the flowers and leaves using the Lacy Petal Dies, giving me a really pretty and feminine card.

I just wanted to share this cute card I made for my great-nephew’s 10th birthday last month, I used the Darling Donkey’s Stamp Set from Sale-a-bration, sadly this set is no longer available but a great alternative would be the Zany Zebras Stamp Set.

I used the ‘tone-on-tone stampin’ technique for my background and broke out my watercolor pencils to color my cheeky lil’ donkey, he looks so cute just sitting there 🙂

When the Stampin’ UP! Jan – June 2021 Mini Catalog came out in December there was a new product – Gilded Leafing Embellishment, a beautiful pot containing delicate and wispy pieces of a gold colored foil – which was bright and sparkly and I just love bright and sparkly!

I am working on a series of posts and videos sharing various designs and techniques for using this wonderful product – today shows a piece of gilded card which has been dry embossed …… stunning!

Super Cute Racoon Birthday Card

I made this card earlier this year, I just love this little guy and chose colors I thought would appeal to the littlies in our lives. It uses a two-step stampin’ technique and to ensure I lined everything up properly I used my Stamparatus.

I think if you change out the greeting it would make a fantastic new baby card or even an anniversary card – the possibilities are endless.
