Later today I shall be receiving my order from the new 2023 – 2024 Annual Catalog – normally I would have gotten my hands on the new products weeks ago but as I was away on an extended holiday I was not able to place my order until I was back in McKinney!

In my order is the Fresh as A Daisy Suite which I am itching to get my hands on, I love daisies – (we called one of our Yorkie’s Daisy) rather than wait any longer I am going to share the Stampin’ UP! video and samples with you today – watch this space for ideas I come up with in the coming days and weeks!!!

These are the cards we would prefer not to have to send, but they do offer such comfort to those who receive them. The line art in the Decorative Borders Stamp set is beautiful and as the set does not have any greetings it is easy to pair up with another set which has a variety of different greetings to make this into a ‘feel better soon’, thank you, retirement or even a birthday card. There are different ways to use our inks, stamping images and greetings is one way, but there is also using masks (stencils) along with Blending Brushes to create a very soft image. I have gone to my favorite Go To Greetings Stamp Set for my message and chosen to use the thank you stamp however you could choose one of the other greetings to create a birthday, thinking of you or just a note ~ the card design will work for all of them.

We are well into spring now so I have chosen to use Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz for my card colors today. The Around the Bend Stamp Set and coordinating Die set have flowers and leaves that look like daisies, which remind me of late spring when the grass is starting to grow along with the little daisies showing the dainty faces to the sun.

Like an Animal Thank You Card Idea

You all know that I love the decorative paper packs, I find them inspirational especially when it comes to color combinations. Last November I was able to go to an all day Stampin’ UP! event in Arlington TX, there I was gifted an pack of Like an Animal decorative paper – which has all animal prints. To be honest it is not something I would choose to have but I put on my thinking cap and came up with a simple design featuring the paper with some lovely Polished Pink card and ribbon (soon to retire)
