Everything Eleanor Birthday ~ video tutorial

It was my dear Mum’s birthday at the beginning of August, her favorite colors have always been Navy Blue and Cream, so this was the starting point for the card I made for her.  As she lives in the UK I needed to ensure that the card would be light enough to mail, without to much bulk from pearls or rhinestones.  Those of you who know me also know I love bling on my my cards, this is where glimmer paper comes in very handy!!!

One Design…….. 2 cards

I made this card for my customers who have an August Birthday but I also needed a card for a friend who had recently lost a family member.  Looking at the card design I realized I could make it work for both purposes.  There is a little bit of stamping but it relies on the embellishments for impact.

Swaps for Stampin’ Up Convention

Last week I was in Salt Lake City, Utah, at Stampin’ Up!’s annual convention which is  open to demonstrators  and is an opportunity for demonstrators from all over the US as well as other countries to get together with  Corporate leaders to (amongst other things) recognise achievements, to hear and see new products and ideas.

Another Shower Card

Well would you believe a 4th baby card!!  This time for a young couple who live in our old neighborhood and expecting their first child later in the summer.  They had a baby shower last weekend and it was different from my previous baby shower experiences  as spouses were also invited rather than being just a girlfriend get-together  – a refreshing change.
