One Design…….. 2 cards

I made this card for my customers who have an August Birthday but I also needed a card for a friend who had recently lost a family member.  Looking at the card design I realized I could make it work for both purposes.  There is a little bit of stamping but it relies on the embellishments for impact.

The ‘card candy’ (a term I learnt earlier this year) uses Whisper White card cut with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch at the top and the Banner Triple Punch to make the ‘V’ at the bottom (this makes banners a real snap to make!!).

Half a Tea Lace Paper Doily attached underneath with a little Snail adhesive.  The bird was made using the Bird Builder Punch and Marina Mist card then sponged with Sahara Sand ink, this punch also includes the little stem of leaves as well.

To give additional texture and impact to the wing I attached it with a Stampin’ Dimensional after I had run it thru the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots embossing folder, which has become my ‘go to’ folder.

Some Silver Metallic Bakers Twine wrapped around the tag and the card was complete.
