Tasteful Touches ~ Masking and Watercoloring Video

Welcome back to my corner of the world

We have gone soft and subtle today, the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is just packed full of beautiful visual textures that makes great backgrounds for your cards.  I have paired this with the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, Grey Granite ink and ribbon.

To build on the softness I chose to use a  watercoloring and masking technique to use the beautiful ‘peony’ looking flower and soft and ‘floaty’ sort of leaves in the stamp set along with a greeting that would be about perfect for any occasion.

Misty Moonlight ~ Ornate Thanks

Welcome back to my corner of the world

Today’s card is so very feminine and uses one of my favorite color combinations, Blue and Vanilla, if you were to look in my wardrobe you would see a lot of this combination!

I have used the Ornate Thanks Bundle, the Ornate Thanks Stamp set has 3 big, bold greetings then a whole bunch of additional, supporting greetings in a beautiful script.  Then additional decoration using the Ornate Borders Dies, while these are available separately you can get 10% off if you buy the bundle!  Great Deal  🙂

Celebrate Sunflowers with some Stampin’ Blends

Welcome back to my corner of the world

Happy July !!!!

Today I am back with sunflowers, this time in more traditional colors and breaking out my Stampin’ Blends to do a little soothing coloring.

There is a little bit of technique going on with this one in that I stamped my outline in Daffodil Delight ink but ‘stamped off’ before stampining onto a piece of Whisper White Thick Card.  This gave me a nice, softer outline in which to add my colors.

Introducing the Whale of a Time Suite ~ Stampin’ UP!

Welcome back to my corner of the world

Here we are on the threshold of summer and this suite kinda reminds me of summer holidays.  Make a splash with the effervescent seascapes with sweet sea creatures, whales, turtles, seahorses and jellyfish (although not too sure about the jellyfish being sweet!)

The Whale of a Time suite has a coordinating punch that will cut the whale as well as a great little water spray coming out of his water spout!  A DSP, the Seabed Embossing Folder, then some sequins and Pool Party Sheer Ribbon.  I think this will be perfect for cards for the younger people in our families!

Introducing Bumblebee with Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper

Welcome back to my corner of the world

Bumble Bee is the 3rd of the 5 new 2020 – 2022 In-colors I have featured so far.  I have paired it with a little Just Jade and the super scrummy Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper and the wooden accents from the In Good Taste Elements.

My greeting is from the very popular Forever Fern Stamp Set because I just love those words….. and it is a lovely script!  You could add any message to suit your need, as I think this would be a great birthday, thank you, thinking of you type card.

Special Ink . Stamp . Share Blog Hop ~ Anything Goes!

Once again  I am thrilled to be taking part  in the Ink . Stamp . Share blog hop,  we are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity!

You will have either arrived from  Sue’s  post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . This month’s theme is ANYTHING GOES!

At the beginning of the year Stampin’ UP! introduced the Umbrella Builder Punch to go along with the coordinating  Under My Umbrella Stamp Set (which has the most delious pair of welly boots – which is very on-point at the moment) Anyway, I am so thrilled,  these are now part of the 2020 -2021 Annual Catalog!

I like to see if I can make my goodies do more that one thing so I have used the punch to create a flower!

Misty Moonlight Monochrome – Sweet and Simple Panel Card

Welcome back to my corner of the world

When Stampin’ UP! gave us a heads up on the new 2020 – 2022 In-colors I knew that Misty Moonlight would be my favorite!  For a start off its blue ~ I love blue, next it is a nice soft medium dark blue – which works in so well with the other blues in the SU family.

Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal!  I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool  – which is my Paper Trimmer.

Cling Stamps V’s Photopolymer – Video Tutorial

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I was asked the other day what the difference was between ‘Cling’ stamps and ‘Photopolymer’ Stamps – and that is a very good question.  After nearly 10 years as an SU demo I tend to forget there are folks that are new to this wonderful craft!

Basically they each do the same job – produces beautiful images for your crafting delight, they are made from different materials you just handled them a little differently. So today’s post explains how to handle them, attach labels, attach to acrylic blocks and keep them clean.
