Welcome back to my corner of the world
When Stampin’ UP! gave us a heads up on the new 2020 – 2022 In-colors I knew that Misty Moonlight would be my favorite! For a start off its blue ~ I love blue, next it is a nice soft medium dark blue – which works in so well with the other blues in the SU family.
Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal! I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool – which is my Paper Trimmer.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Misty Moonlight Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Flowers for Every Season DSP
Layer 2: 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 Flowers for Every Season DSP layered onto 3 x 3 Misty Moonlight Card
Layer 3: 4 x 3 /4 Flowers for Every Season DSP layered onto 4 1/8 x 7/8 Misty Moonlight Card
Ink Colors: Night of Navy
The layers are attached with some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive then Stampin Dimensionals to attach to the card base. I used a 4″ strip of the Misty Moonlight 1/4 Ribbon with a Ribbon Slide from the Antiqued Corners and Slides embellishments. I threaded the ribbon thru the slide, centered it then used a Mini Glue Dot to hold it in place, then added a mini glue dot to each end of the ribbon to stop it flapping around. To give a little balance I added one of the Corners from the same embellishments – again using a mini glue dot.
These are the colors and designs in the DSP pack I used today – there is such a lovely choice that coordinate with the 2020 -2022 In Colors – I plan to share some more in the coming days.
