I made this card for an on-line swap back in late May and although it is a Father’s Day card the layout and colors can be used for a birthday card for a guy or change the colors out and it would work perfectly for a feminine card – and that is the beauty of the two stamp sets that I used for this card ~ Pop of Paradise and Thoughtful Banners because they have images and words that are really flexible.

Vertical Greetings ~ Stampin’ Up!
When the 2016 ~ 2017 Annual Catalog came out one of the sets that sparked my imagination was Vertical Greetings, a set with 3 long skinny trees and 6 vertical greetings, I knew it would lend itself to some pretty and simple cards. So here is the first of what I hope will be many designs.
Watercolor Wings ~ Mystery Stamping
I have shared with you before that my Stampin’ Up! grandma is very active in inspiring her team of demonstrators. She lives in Arizona but a significant number of her team are here in North Texas. To stay in touch with us she periodically organises on-line events thru our group Facebook page. Last Thursday we had a ‘mystery stamp’ event.
Balloon Celebration ~ Stampin’ Up!
I wanted to make a batch of birthday cards that would be great for children but not fall back on the usual pinks and blues, running thru all the lovely colors in the Stampin” Up! palette, I settled on Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight; and nothing is more birthday than balloons!
Floral Boutique Suite ~ Stampin’ Up! 2016 – 2017 Catalog
Over the last 4 – 5 months I have been sharing my mission to use Designer Series Paper (DSP) and have posted a lot of projects here so show my progress.
Well the new Stampin’ Up! catalog was made available to demonstrators in mid April and lots of new designs of DSP were included. As soon as I clapped eyes on the Floral Boutique DSP and its coordinating products I fell in love.
The catalog became live on June 1st and now I can share the beautiful suite of products with you…………….. focusing on the DSP Continue reading
Happy Birthday – Pop Ups from Stampin’ Up!
This is a fun card which uses the Party Pop-Up Thinlet Dies from Stampin’ Up! They are in the Occasions Catalog which is due to retire on May 31st (but the good news is……………… it has been included in the new 2016 – 2017 Annual catalog, which goes live June 1st!.
I made the card for my youngest grand-daughter’s 1st birthday, but liked it so much I also offered it to my card crafting ladies in April’s class.
Totally over the top ~ but I love it!!!
Today’s card is totally over the top – I love it but it is a card that you would have to give in person rather than put in the post because I just don’t think it would survive!
It is one of my footling cards – I shared one a couple of years ago – footling was a favorite expression of my beloved Aunt Di ~ is just picking up some ‘items’ and playing with them until something comes together .
Break out your DSP ~ Diagonal Slash Card # 2
I promised to share more cards using the Diagonal Slash technique – here are 4 more using the same sheet of DSP from Monday’s Post. These cards are based on an idea from Patty Bennett, which is perfect for my on-going commitment to break out my DSP!
Sassy Seasons…………… Part 2
I promised to share the other 2 seasonal themed cards using the same layout, format and masking technique, which came out of musings during my card class earlier this week.
This time we have Autumn and Winter plus a bonus for a Christmas theme!
Sassy Seasons……………
It is a while since I last posted news on my blog. Those of you who know me or have been following me for a while know that I work for one of the biggest retail tax preparation services in the US – and Jan 1st thru April 18th this year I have been helping the nation prepare and file their 2015 tax returns!!!
While I had time to write posts I did not have time to make anything to share with you on a regular basis – but now I am back with some cards and other paper projects to share……. I hope you enjoy them – feel free to comment.
